Girls just wanna have fun!!!

As much as I don't love to be labelled a girly girl, sometimes, I very well am. And why not be proud of it. I am a girl for pete's sake. One thing that girly girl's and I have in common, is our love to SHOPPPP!!!

Uh, I mean, I like shopping.
Is there anything so wrong with that?
I mean, stores are put there to enjoy.
Uh, the experience is enjoyable.
Well, more than enjoyable.
It's... It's beautiful.
The sheen of silk,
draped across a mannequin.
Oh, the smell of
new Italian leather shoes.
Italian leather shoes, that's the best.
Oh... The rush you feel
when you swipe your card.
And it's approved.
And it all belongs to you!
These are the Confessions of a shopaholic <3

The place to be, was melbourne. One hop, skip and train ride and I was there. A day filled with shopping, swiping and a quick but long stop to my favourite cafe, I was in heaven.

I was so super excited to finally get the chance to wear my vintage pleated dress. I had purchased it quite some time ago, finally. It was time to embrace the moment in it. Paired with my white t-bars accessorised with a cloche hat, white vintage bag and sunnies topped off with red lipstick. I was ready to shop.

Lunch from my favourite cafe Green's

Magazine for the train ride

Even though our credit card bills are high, we ban ourselves from shopping, freeze the card on ice and almost cry because we can not fit another single thing in our wardrobe. Remember we're only human AND WILL never stop shopping because' GIRLS JUST WANNA HAVE FUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

sOOO lets listen to the wise words of the MISS CYNDI LAUPER

Follow the yellow brick road.....

Since I was a child I have loved The Wizard of Oz. Not sure if it was the amazing magical red ruby slippers, the flying monkeys, beautiful witches or the falling into a wonderful magical land filled with vibrant colours. Everything put together made a brilliant spectacular film. Although as a child I use to be scared of the scene where they'd sing LIONS AND TIGERS AND BEARS OH MY, then the lion jumps out. It scared the hell out of me, I'd hide behind the couch.  I conquered my fears long ago and can actually watch it now as a 21 year old.

THE WIZARD OF OZ it's fashion and Technicolor is truly amazing. I just love the costume design!!!! With a a fitted upper bodice  to accentuate the waist and a flow of fullness with baby blue checked gingham pattern this dress just shouts innocence, beauty, sophistication with a hint of a play. I'm tempted to make a replica and wear it in my everyday life. The ruby slippers are to die for. I'm sure I was not the only little girl who'd kill for a pair. To this day I am a proud owner of a ruby slippers inspired platform I call them my Dorothy shoes.

Glinda the good witch-her costume was, is, will forever be the picture of beauty. The tulle, the fullness, the magic, and over exaggerated sleeves all poured into a black cauldron  create a magical fantasy of good masked in beauty trumping over evil

I'm not really one to shop in regular clothing store but this one day I peered into the Peter Alexander window. I smiled in excitement as there was a new line of THE WIZARD OF OZ sleepwear. I went into the store and had a look. I was amazed with all the silk pictures from the motion picture to die for it was. Although it was sleepwear I saw it as regular day wear or evening wear. A month or so later I went back and there was a new collection out OZ was no more. I was shattered. Around two weeks ago my mum came across the collection online. I was happy once again. Now I just needed an occasion to wear it!

It was one of my besties birthdays a week ago what better occasion then to wear my new outfit. A night of cold bevies, gal pals and ripping the dance floor with killer moves it was one not to be missed.
To my lovely Gemmi with a H I hope you had a grand night and wish you the Happiest Birthday <3<3<3

Well  that's the juice from my sugary life I leave you with the message

Eeveryyybody wang chung tonight

For every body who doesn't know me I am half Aussie half Macedonian and darn proud of it. The weekend that just passed was our Macedonian independence day better known to us as "Ilinden". I was so excited cause that meant, not only a night of dancing and delish food but time to put a look together :)

I was so excited because I had the perfect outfit in mind............................................

Embroidered Dress-thrift shop
Fur Coat- Glassons
Mesh Clutch- Vintage (mothers)
Crystal ring- Bevilles
Winged Wedges- Ebay

I'd originally paired my look with my amazing orange studded stiletto heels but, unfortunately I currently have an Achilles problem. These shoes looked just as good and was less painful. You'll see them in time to come.

These accessories are my favourites I just love my mesh clutch it's my mothers she had it for 20 years, it's quite special to me. The BLING BLING, this ring was one of my first ever real rings purchased. The photo does not do it justice, it shines like the moonlight. Last but not least the SHOESSSSS,
I fell in love with these shoes because they have WINGS. Makes me feel like the golden snitch or something, one of my great finds.

The evening was a success, the buffet was amazing and I danced up a storm until next year.
For now I end you with a beautiful display of flowers from the night.

Love from Maco Maco Girl xoxo
